Insert 8mm safety eyes between the 5th and 6th rows (the 2 rows of 30sc) Position them so 5 sc are between them Position them so their center is about opposite the start of the row, keeping in mind the position could affect how centered the hair is.

Hair

To add a strand of hair insert crochet hook through a stitch on the top of the head, fold a 4 inch piece of yarn in half and pull the middle through the stitch. Then use the crochet hook to pull in the 2 ends of the piece through the loop you just made and pull tight. Here is an example of this technique (although she is using a hair cap, whereas we are going directly into the head) https://youtu.be/PfMYJMyqYEI?t=179

Cut off the excess length of the strands when you have covered the head with hair

Turn work inside-out

With Black sl-stitch around through the front loop only (since you turned the work inside-out, this will result in crocheting in the opposite direction as the previous round. And the “front loops” you will be working in were the back loops of the previous round when the work was right-side-in)

Turn work right-side-in

With White sl-stitch around, through top loops of black stitches, sl st to join
